About Me

Hi, I’m Sam! I’m a mum-of-2, sea-dipper, trail-plodder, gym-lover, and network-engineer-turned-fitness-professional. If you’re looking for a reason to join the gym, here it is! I believe in experiential goal setting - getting strong to be strong. For independence. For confidence. For competency. For taking a hammer to a wall when needed!

After experiencing illness and injury, and being brought back to life by movement and exercise, I followed my heart to exchange a 16-year career in IT for a new one in fitness and physical therapy. I absolutely love my role as a Coach. There’s nothing better than seeing a client delight in a new achievement or, better still, surprising themselves by doing something they didn’t think they could.

My approach to coaching is nurturing and empathetic to the realities of daily life. Our energy levels wax and wane, and I account for that in class. If you’re feeling great, I will suggest progressions or swap your weights for something heavier. If your energy is lower, we’ll adapt things, be kind to our bodies, and be proud of ourselves for showing up and protecting our habits (and I promise not to count reps!).
