Hi, I'm Karen!
The owner of our lovely little strength and fitness studio.
I'm not a drill sergeant. I don't and won't push you beyond your current limitations, because I know how deflated that makes you feel.
I only ask that you do things that I know you can, you just don't realise that you can, yet.
I encourage you to push boundaries, explore your abilities, give it socks, and to feel a sense of accomplishment, regardless of the outcome.
I'm passionate about what I do and if I feel I'm in a position to help you then I will endeavour to do my best.
I am realistic, energetic, direct with my approach, goal-oriented, conscientious, open-minded and most of all, adaptable, cause let's face it, sh!t happens, and you are not always going to show up with bells on.
I advocate weight training for strength and longevity of life. I recommend exercise to improve heart health and a better quality of life. I promote foods that nourish our bodies, and I encourage you to eat fun food that you enjoy to eat.
I don't give a toss how many burpees it takes to burn off a donut because that's not the point of the gym.
I encourage you to exercise to inject an element of positivity into your life. Be it to bust stress, feel accomplished, delay the ageing process, have the chats and bants (we are an eclectic bunch), or to simply get out of the house for an hour.
Find a positive reason to exercise and your life will change for the better.
